Meet Dr. Marie Claire Roderick
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in both Colorado (since 2021) and in Virignia (since 2015). I am a member of PSYPACT # 19248 and can practice telepsychology in other PSYPACT states. I received a B.A. with Honors (Psychology) from St. Francis Xavier University (2007) and a M.S. and PsyD. in Clinical Psychology from the Institute for the Psychological Sciences in 2009 and 2014, respectively.
I completed my pre-doctoral internship in rural Tennessee with Frontier Health and my post-doctoral fellowship in McLean, Virginia at a private practice. I then served as a Visiting Fellow and Adjunct Medical Staff with the Health Psychology and Neurobehavioral Group, Pediatric Oncology Branch, National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland. I became a Certified Brain Health Professional through the Amen Clinics in 2021.
I use cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and attachment based approaches.
While these are my professional credentials, I’m no different from the people I work with. Like everyone else, I’m human. I’ve been through both amazing and difficult experiences as an individual, spouse and parent. These experiences have shaped who I am and how I help.
Making my mental health a priority is crucial to ensuring that I can be a well-rounded and balanced therapist. I place great importance on seeking out new educational opportunities so that I can consistently provide the highest level of care to my clients.
